A Story Continued Through Wine

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Azur Wines, and I’ve been reflecting on what has guided me from the very beginning.

Azur started from a simple but persistent admiration for small production wines. Wines made with reverence for Mother Nature, care, and a true sense of place. Here in California Napa Valley, I was drawn less to volume and more to meaningful bottles that felt like they were saying something, carrying the character of the land, the vintage, and the people behind them.

Over time, that inspiration evolved into a philosophy that still defines Azur and Empreinte: Wines with Intention. Wines that tell a story and sing of their place. And through all of it, one thing has never changed: a commitment to quality above everything else.

To mark this milestone, I wanted to share a few very limited curated case offerings that reflect that journey. Each 12 bottle case of wine was personally selected as a way to experience our story through the glass, from the beauty of Napa wine country to the library wines, vineyard expressions, and special bottles that have shaped Azur over the years.

Back for our 20th anniversary, Elan’s Favorite Picks of Champagne returns as a celebration of the same values that guide Azur Wines: authenticity, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to place.

Four years in the making, this hand-curated collection highlights small to medium-sized, family-owned Champagne producers who overdeliver in quality and character. From bright and mineral to rich and textured, each bottle was chosen for the way it tells a story, honors its terroir, and brings a sense of discovery to the glass.

The Azur Wines 20th anniversary curated cases were chosen personally and in very small quantities.

I hope they find their way to real tables, real meals, and real conversations. Wines like these are certainly special enough for the cellar, but they are also meant to be opened, enjoyed and an ehancement to life.
