We wandered through ancient medinas layered with centuries of history, got pleasantly lost in the rhythms of daily life that felt beautifully removed from everything we know, and found ourselves humbled by a way of living so different from our modern American routines. It was a reminder that the world is far wider, and far older, than we sometimes remember. And it was a reminder of what happens when a community of curious, open-hearted people decides to experience it together.
A Shared Journey
From the labyrinthine streets of ancient cities to quiet courtyards where time seemed to stand still, every setting felt more vibrant because of the people I was with. I found myself wandering through souks filled with color and craft, sharing mint tea with strangers who became familiar faces, watching the light change over rooftops at dusk, and realizing that every single moment was made better by this group. What stood out most wasn’t where we went, but how easily everyone fell into the rhythm of it all. The laughter came quickly. The conversations stretched well into the night.
There is a certain energy that comes from being surrounded by people who are open to the moment, and I felt that throughout the entire trip. Whether we were navigating a centuries-old medina together or simply sitting in a courtyard taking it all in, everything felt relaxed, spontaneous, and genuinely enjoyable. This is what Azur is built on. Not just great wine, but great people choosing to show up for something bigger than themselves.
Travel has always been a source of inspiration for me, and this journey was no exception. From the stillness of ancient kasbahs to the energy of bustling city squares, every setting offered something different and kept things interesting in the best way. These experiences continue to shape how I think about what we build at Azur. There is always something new waiting just beyond the horizon, and it is even better when shared with the right people.
Some moments are best seen in motion. I captured so much of this journey along the way, and I would love for you to experience it with us. Visit us on Instagram to see the full story through video, from spontaneous laughter to the quiet in-between moments, and get a closer look at what made this time together so memorable.
This Is Only the Beginning!
This was the first trip of many. Azur is not just a winery you visit once a year. It is a community that travels together, eats together, discovers together, and grows together. The wine starts the conversation. What happens next is what we are really building. There are more adventures ahead, more tables to gather around, and more places to explore with people who will quickly start to feel like family.
Come see us in Napa. There is always something new to taste, a story to share, and a seat waiting for you.
