Azur & Empreinte:
Expressions of Napa Valley

Napa Valley, a story told in two wines

At first glance, you may see two labels and think they share a similar heart. In some ways, they do. Both Azur and Empreinte come from a deep love of land, tradition, and the craft of winemaking. But they represent very different philosophies in how that intention is expressed in the glass.

Let me share what sets them apart.

Azur Wines: Elegant, Approachable, and Community-Driven

Azur is where my personal wine journey began. We are a small, family- and female-owned winery inspired by French tradition and grounded in the beauty of Napa Valley. Every wine is crafted with balance and finesse, whether it’s our flagship Rosé, named one of the best in the world by Vogue, or our premium Cabernet Sauvignons that deliver both structure and grace.

More than a wine brand, Azur is a place. Our downtown Napa tasting lounge is where locals and visitors gather for community events, book clubs, or just a casual glass of wine in good company. We are proud to be a welcoming space where quality wines and heartfelt conversations meet.

Empreinte Wines: Site-Specific, Exclusive, and Collector-Focused

Empreinte, meaning “imprint” in French, is a reflection of the reverence to the unique characteristics of terroir. These Wines are extremely small production, focused on the most coveted vineyards of Napa Valley with the aim to express their origins. Empreinte is not about public tastings or a visitor lounge. It is about honoring the land through wines that are structured, age-worthy, and highly sought after by collectors and connoisseurs.

Each bottle tells the story of its vineyard, with minimal intervention and maximum expression. Two standout examples of this are our Mount Veeder and Sugarloaf Ridge Cabernet Sauvignons, each offering a unique and elevated experience of Napa Valley terroir.

2021 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon: A Wine of Elevation and Strength

This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the rugged slopes of Mount Veeder, where steep elevations and volcanic soils push the vines to their limits. The result is a bold and commanding wine that captures the essence of mountain viticulture.

In the glass, you’ll find dense blackberry, cassis, and dark plum, layered with floral aromatics, wild herbs, and a distinct chalky minerality. The tannins are sculpted and firm, giving this wine both depth and longevity. With limited production and high acclaim, this wine is a signature of Empreinte’s dedication to precision and purity.

2022 Sugarloaf Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon: Vibrancy Meets Elegance

The Sugarloaf Ridge Cabernet offers a very different but equally compelling experience. Sourced from the rolling foothills at the border of Napa and Sonoma, this vineyard benefits from volcanic and sedimentary soils that create complexity and lift.

This Cabernet reveals ripe dark cherry, fresh currant, and subtle plum, balanced by savory notes of black olive and earthy undertones. The tannins are refined and the acidity bright, making this a Cabernet with structure, elegance, and extraordinary balance. It is a wine that rewards careful attention, yet feels effortless in its grace.

Which Wine Is Right for You?

If you are looking for approachable, beautifully crafted wines and a sense of community, Azur offers a space to connect, sip, and enjoy the spirit of Napa in every glass. If your taste leans toward bold, site-driven Cabernets with limited availability and collector status, then Empreinte offers a truly elevated experience.

We are currently offering a rare opportunity to acquire select bottles from the Empreinte portfolio, typically reserved only for allocation members.
